Draft for lawyer review. Replace every [IN BRACKETS] value before publishing, and have an Indian lawyer read this page. It is a good-faith starting point, not legal advice.

Faruq Fatah and Co ("we", "us") runs PinCity, a local community app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

What we collect

Why we use it

We do not sell your personal data and do not show third-party ads.

Who processes it

We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, database, file storage, messaging, content analysis) and Google Play (payments). Data is stored on Google servers, including in India and possibly other countries.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account, then it is erased from live systems promptly (backups may take up to 30 days to roll off). We may keep limited records longer where the law requires, for example payment records and reports needed to handle legal requests.

Your rights

You can access and correct your details in the app (Profile), delete your account in the app (Profile, Delete my account) or at the delete-account page, withdraw consent by deleting your account, and complain to our grievance officer (see Grievance). If unresolved you may approach the Data Protection Board of India. You may nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity by writing to us.

Children

PinCity is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child uses the app, tell us and we will delete the account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit; phone numbers are kept in access-controlled records. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

We will post changes here and in the app. Contact: pincity2026@gmail.com.
